CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a large secondary school in Walsall who require a full-time History Teacher to join their outstanding faculty from September 2025
About the role
The role is a long term position teaching KS3 & KS4 History. You’ll be required to plan lessons in line with the national curriculum as well as mark and asses student work. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher.

The school is a large secondary based in the near Walsall and has great transport links as well as onsite parking. The school were rated Good in their latest Ofsted inspection!
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative KS3/4 History lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for History.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on History (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Humanities and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
