CERT Solutions are working with a secondary school based in Handsworth, Birmingham who are looking to appoint a Geography Teacher.

It is a fantastic secondary with welcoming and supportive departments. The successful teacher will work alongside a brilliant department head and deliver lessons to KS3 and KS4.

The role starts ideally after February half term, however the school are willing to wait for the right candidate.

The role itself will be the full teacher role, including marking and planning.

Start Date: 23rd February 2026

End date: July 2026

The desired teacher will have strong values and a dedication to safeguarding to all students. This role would be suitable for ECT’s as well as experienced teachers.

The successful teacher will essentially have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of teaching Geography up to KS4
  • Have a real passion for your subject that you can instil into your pupils
  • ECT’s are welcome to apply
  • Clear DBS on the update service

Your responsibilities will be:

  • To teach students to a high standard
  • To support the other members of staff at the school
  • Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
  • Assessing, marking, and planning lesson for the students
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
