CERT Solutions are working in partnership with an alternative provision free school based in Kidderminster who are looking for a Food Technology Teacher from September 2025.
The role is a full time position teaching KS3 & KS4. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher.
A Bit about the school:
The Academy was opened in September 2013 and benefits from being housed in a purpose built site. The currently have the capacity for 90 pupils aged 11-17, who for a wide variety of reasons have disengaged or experienced difficulties in mainstream education.
Kidderminster has great transport links via train and bus . The school is easily accessible by car too and has a large onsite car park.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Food Tech lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for Food.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Food Technology (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in teaching and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
