CERT Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming special school in the Erdington area, and we’re looking for a committed and compassionate Autism Specialist Support Worker to join their team from October 2025.
You’ll be supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping them to access their learning in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science. Your role will be to build positive relationships, provide structure, and help students achieve their potential in a nurturing and well-supported environment.
📍 Location: Erdington, Birmingham
📅 Start Date: October 2025
🕒 Type: Full-time | Long-term
In this role, you’ll:
- Support students with autism in small-group and 1:1 settings
- Assist with learning in core subjects like Maths, English, and Science
- Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
- Work closely with teachers and therapists as part of a specialist team
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a special school setting is essential
- A relevant childcare qualification is required
- Strong knowledge or background in working with autism
- A calm, consistent and encouraging approach
- Someone who is reliable and committed to making a difference
