Description
CERT Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Autism Specialist Support Worker to work 1:1 with a pupil with ASC and challenging behaviour in a specialist school setting.
This is a full-time role supporting a child who requires consistent, skilled and structured support.
Role details:
- Position: Autism Specialist Support Worker (1:1)
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Start date: After February half term
- Pay: £90 – £105 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Implementing strategies from EHCPs and behaviour plans
- Working closely with teachers, SENCO and therapists
- Creating a calm, structured and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in supporting, teaching and learning)
- Strong understanding of de-escalation strategies
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
