CERT Solutions is looking for an Art teacher to join a special school in the Selly Oak area.

They are a renowned SEN setting providing a supportive, specialised environment for students with a range of learning needs. The school is looking for an artist and educator who can look beyond the diagnosis to find the talent within, delivering a curriculum that spans across Primary and Secondary age groups.

Location: Selly Oak Trust School, Birmingham

Daily Rate: £170 – £220 (Paid to scale)

Start Date: ASAP / Next Term

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Tailor projects to be sensory-rich for younger students while providing technical challenge and GCSE/BTEC pathways for older learners.
  • Implement EHCP strategies to ensure every student can access the joy of creation.
  • Plan, prep and deliver Art lessons to a high quality standard

Requirements

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A proven Art Specialism (Degree level or equivalent expertise).
  • Demonstrable experience working within an SEN environment.
  • The ability to manage complex behaviors with patience, empathy, and a calm presence.
  • A portfolio of ideas on how to make art accessible to students with varying physical and cognitive abilities.
