CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a great school based in Selly Oak who are looking for an Art teacher to join their SEN School.
This is an exciting new role starting after October half term. Here are the key details about the type of school it is:
- Type: Foundation Special School.
- Age Range: It caters to students from 11 to 19 years old (Secondary school and Sixth Form).
- SEN Provision: The school supports students with a wide variety of needs, including:
- Moderate Learning Difficulty (MLD)
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD)
Interviews will take place ASAP however, the head teacher has stated they will wait for the ideal candidate!
The desired teacher will have strong values and a dedication to safeguarding to all students. This role would be suitable for ECT’s as well as experienced teachers.
The successful teacher will essentially have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of teaching Art up to KS4 within a SEN or mainstream school
- Have a real passion for your subject that you can instil into your pupils
- ECT teachers are welcome to apply
- Clear DBS on the update service
Your responsibilities will be:
- To teach students to a high standard
- To support the other members of staff at the school
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Assessing, marking, and planning lesson for the students
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
