We are currently working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Sutton Coldfield is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with autism and behavioural needs. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine impact by helping a child stay focused and engaged in their learning.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher to provide consistent, individualised support, helping the pupil manage their emotions, stay on task, and build confidence throughout the school day.
What We’re Looking For:
– A softly spoken, patient, and nurturing individual
– Someone confident and composed when managing challenging behaviour
– Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
– Available full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
– DBS on the Update Service
– Able to start as soon as possible
– Previous experience supporting children with autism in a school setting is highly desirable
