CERT Solutions are working with a two form-entry welcoming mainstream primary school in the heart of Edgbaston who are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with Autism, starting September 2025.
This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
The school are particularly interested in speaking to indiviudals who have extensive SEN school or resource base experience.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism in a Year 2 classroom
- Assist with emotional regulation, communication and daily learning activities
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
- Implement personalised learning strategies and behaviour support plans
- Foster a nurturing and structured environment tailored to the child’s needs
About You:
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs (essential)
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience) is essential
- Calm, consistent and nurturing approach
- Able to build trusting relationships with children and staff
- Committed to promoting inclusion and celebrating individual strengths
