We are currently recruiting for an experienced male SEND Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive special school based in the Erdington area of Birmingham. This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 and continuing through until July 2027, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

You will be working alongside another teacher supporting 10 – 15 SEND primary ages students.

This role will include full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA). The successful candidate will be expected to plan engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, track pupil progress, and contribute towards EHCP outcomes and target setting.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have previous experience working within SEND or specialist settings
  • Be confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
  • Have experience with planning, assessment, and differentiated learning
  • Be patient, resilient, and adaptable in their approach
  • Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Be available full time from September 2026
