Are you a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to support children in the early years of primary education? A friendly and supportive infant setting in Smethwick is looking for a confident KS1 TA to join their team, providing classroom support, targeted interventions and dedicated SEN assistance.
This long-term role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a nurturing school environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes
• Leading small-group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Adapting activities to suit different learning abilities and styles
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupil progress
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working within a KS1 setting
• Knowledge of phonics and early learning strategies
• Experience supporting children with SEN and additional learning needs
• A calm, patient and enthusiastic approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
