A welcoming and supportive Primary School is seeking an experienced and organised Office Manager / Business Manager to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and professional individual who thrives in a busy school environment and is passionate about supporting pupils, staff, and the wider school community.

The Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the school office and business operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of administrative, financial, and operational functions across the school.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the school office function
  • Supporting school finance and budget administration
  • Managing HR and personnel administration processes
  • Overseeing attendance, admissions, and pupil data systems
  • Ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Liaising effectively with staff, parents, governors, and external agencies
  • Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with operational and business management duties

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in school administration or business management
  • Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
  • Is confident using school systems and Microsoft Office packages
  • Can work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Has a professional and approachable manner
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding within education

Previous experience working within a primary school setting would be advantageous.

Contract & Salary:
Temporary to permanent opportunity

  • Full-time position
  • Start date: Within the coming weeks
  • Permanent salary: Grade 6/7 depending on experience
  • FTE Salary: £28,598 – £34,434

All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
