CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to work on a temporary basis within a specialist school in Sutton Coldfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a school that provides care and education for pupils with additional needs, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

  • Sutton Coldfield
  • £14.25 – £16.50 per hour
  • Monday to Friday (Split Shifts)
  • 7:00am – 10:00am & 2:00pm – 6:00pm

The Role:

  • Opening and securing the school site daily
  • General maintenance and minor repairs
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are met across the premises
  • Managing cleanliness and liaising with cleaning staff where required
  • Supporting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school activities
  • Responding to any site-related issues promptly

Requirements:

  • Previous caretaking, site management, or maintenance experience (school experience desirable)
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage split shifts
  • A hands-on and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
