CERT Solutions are working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school near Stourbridge, South West of Birmingham who require a full-time Science Teacher to join their outstanding faculty.
About the role
The role is a long term cover position, which will be full time 8am to 4pm, covering for a member of staff going on maternity leave in May. The school require someone to commit to the full teacher role, marking, planning, parents evening etc.
Ideally the school require someone who can teach Biology up to KS4 and KS5 however they will consider a Science specialist in Chemistry or Physics too.

The school is a large secondary rated Good by Ofsted and have great transport links as well as onsite parking.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade

- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for Science.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Science (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Science and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
