CERT Solutions are working with a secondary school based in Handsworth, Birmingham who are looking to appoint a PE teacher. They are looking for someone on a full time basis that can cover a initially with a view of going perm from September 2026.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching physical and theory PE up to KS4 and will be expected to plan lessons in line with the national curriculum as well as mark and asses students work.
Start Date: 23rd February (Ideally , however the school are willing to wait right person)
End date: July 2026 – Perm options from September 2026
Interviews will take place ASAP however, the head teacher has stated they will wait for the ideal candidate!
The desired teacher will have strong values and a dedication to safeguarding to all students. This role would be suitable for ECT’s as well as experienced teachers.
The successful teacher will essentially have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of teaching Physical Education both practical and physical up to KS5
- Have a real passion for your subject that you can instil into your pupils
- ECT’s are welcome to apply
- Clear DBS on the update service
Your responsibilities will be:
- To teach students to a high standard
- To support the other members of staff at the school
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Assessing, marking, and planning lesson for the students
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
