CERT Solutions are recruiting an experienced Intervention Teacher for a small SEN Alternative Provision in the Wolverhampton area. This role suits a professional who thrives in controlled environments, delivers direct instruction, and uses clear boundaries to drive academic and behavioural progress.
About the Role as Intervention Teacher:
As an Intervention Teacher, you will work with small groups and individual pupils, delivering structured academic and behavioural interventions. You will re-engage learners through consistent routines, targeted teaching, and a disciplined approach that supports regulation, confidence, and achievement.
Key Responsibilities as an Intervention Teacher:
- Targeted Instruction: Deliver focused interventions in core subjects tailored to SEN and AP learners.
- Structured Delivery: Maintain clear routines, expectations, and lesson structure throughout the school day.
- Behaviour & Regulation: Apply firm, consistent strategies to keep pupils calm, focused, and learning-ready.
- Progress Monitoring: Track academic progress, behaviour data, and intervention outcomes accurately.
- Professional Collaboration: Work closely with SEN staff, behaviour teams, leadership, and external agencies.
To succeed as an Intervention Teacher, you will need:
- Proven experience within SEN, Alternative Provision, SEMH, or similar specialist settings.
- A strong classroom presence with clear, direct communication.
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour through consistency and authority.
- An organised, proactive, and solution-focused approach to teaching.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
