Description
Are you a caring, adaptable, and resilient individual looking for flexible work where you can genuinely make a difference? We are urgently seeking Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants for rewarding day-to-day supply cover across dedicated SEN schools and inclusive provisions in the Birmingham area.
Why Choose Day-to-Day SEN Supply?
- Flexibility on Your Terms: You set your availability! This work style is perfect for those who need a great work-life balance, are studying, or are seeking a bridge back into a long-term role.
- Variety of Experience: Work in different specialist settings every week. You’ll support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and more.
- Meaningful Impact: Every day is a vital day. You’ll provide essential one-to-one and small-group support, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve personal progress.
- Excellent Daily Rates: Receive competitive pay for your specialist skills and commitment.
What We Are Looking For:
We need empathetic and proactive people who can jump into a new classroom environment and provide immediate, high-quality support.
- Experience is Key: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational or care setting is highly desirable (e.g., as a TA, Support Worker, or Youth Mentor).
- Essential Qualities: You must be patient, reliable, creative, and have a calm approach to supporting pupils, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
- Desirable Skills: Training in areas such as Team Teach, Manual Handling, Makaton, or PECS would be a significant advantage, but your positive attitude and dedication are what truly matter.
