Description
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient male Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with challenging behaviour at a partner school in Harborne. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the pupil engage positively in learning and develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
This role is initially 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday) and would be ongoing long term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised learning plans
- Build a trusting, positive relationship with the pupil
- Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
Person Specification:
- Experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs (preferred)
- Level 2/3 Qualification in a relevant subject
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to promoting inclusion and wellbeing
