We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated primary special school in Stechford, supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and contributing to their educational and personal development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with SLD and complex needs across the classroom
  • Assisting the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support as required
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
  • Assisting with personal care where necessary
  • Contributing to a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a special school setting is essential
  • Strong understanding of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Ability to remain adaptable, patient, and resilient
  • Availability for day-to-day cover or long-term placements
  • A relevant qualification
