Description
We are recruiting a compassionate and resilient PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Sutton Coldfield from after October half term. This school supports students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), many of whom require high levels of care alongside their education.
You will provide both educational and personal support, helping pupils engage with sensory learning activities while ensuring their medical and care needs are met throughout the school day.
Requirements:
- Experience working with PMLD, complex needs, or in a care setting
- A level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification
- Comfortable supporting with personal care and mobility needs
- Knowledge of communication aids (e.g. PECs, Makaton) desirable
- Patient, caring, and resilient personality
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
