CERT Solutions is currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in specialist and mainstream schools with dedicated SEN provisions across the Sandwell area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Job requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
  • Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow individual learning and behaviour plans
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Role responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Assisting with personal care, communication strategies, or behaviour management where required
  • Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and adaptation
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to staff and SENCOs
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and self-esteem in pupils
  • Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all learners

All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
