CERT Solutions are currently recruiting a committed 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school based in Smethwick to start in September.
About the Role:
You will work closely with a pupil in KS2, providing tailored 1:1 support to help them access learning, stay on task, and achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting children with additional needs or those who require extra academic or emotional support. This pupil is on an adjusted curriculum but inclusive within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in the classroom and during interventions
- Adapt resources and tasks to suit the pupil’s learning style
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised learning plans
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children in a school setting (preferably Key Stage 2)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- A genuine passion for education and helping young learners succeed
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent is desirable)
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
