CERT Solutions are working with a wonderful special school near Aston and Lozells that caters for pupils with autism and complex needs. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team full time from October 2025.
This role will focus on a KS2 class where PECS and Makaton are regularly used to support communication. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons, creating a calm, structured and engaging learning space for pupils who thrive on routine, support and understanding.
📍 Location: Near Aston & Lozells, Birmingham
📅 Start Date: October 2025
🕒 Type: Full-time | Long-term
💷 Pay: £170 – £230 per day (PAYE)
In this role, you’ll:
- Teach a small KS2 class of pupils with autism and complex needs
- Use tools such as PECS and Makaton to support communication
- Plan, deliver and adapt lessons to meet individual needs
- Work with a skilled team of support staff and therapists
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment
What we’re looking for:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
- Experience working with autism and complex needs
- Knowledge or experience with PECS and Makaton
- Comfortable with full planning responsibilities
- SEN or special school experience preferred
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
