CERT Solutions are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Small Heath, who are seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September 2025.

The Role:

You will be working closely with a pupil with Special Educational Needs, providing 1:1 support tailored to their individual learning, social and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties) and will be patient, proactive, and nurturing in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 classroom support and deliver tailored interventions
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and the school’s SENCO
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, helping to develop IEPs
  • Create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (1:1 or small group)
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable
  • A calm, empathetic and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid, enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
