We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to take on a full-time position within a well-respected special school based in Moseley. This role is to lead a Post-16 class and will begin in September.

The school supports pupils aged 4 to 19 with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), across multiple sites. It has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, inclusive education and fostering a safe and nurturing environment for all learners.

Location: Moseley, Birmingham
Contract: Full-Time, Starting September
Pay: £170 – £210 per day (dependent on experience)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students’ individual EHCPs
  • Take full teaching responsibility for a Post-16 class with ASD and complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and other professionals
  • Create a structured, supportive classroom that promotes independence and progress
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches where necessary

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential – applications without QTS will not be considered
  • Experience working in a UK special school environment
  • Strong understanding of ASD and associated learning needs
  • Confident in managing a diverse classroom and using a range of SEN strategies
  • Available full-time from September
