CERT Solutions are searching for an experienced SEN TA to support a mainstream primary school in Nechells. The school are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism, starting in September 2025 and working long term for the academic year.
This is a full time position, working 8.30 – 3.30 Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working 1 to 1 with children who have autism, as well as more rounded experiences within mainstream and sen school classrooms.
About the Role:
- Supporting a a pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Helping to implement EHCP targets and create a supportive learning environment
- Managing and promoting positive behaviour
- Monitoring and reporting on progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children with autism (ASD) within a school setting
- Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification
- Be patient, nurturing, and proactive in their approach
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be confident in implementing strategies to support sensory and behavioural needs
