CERT Solutions are working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Balsall Heath who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The school are looking for someone who can commit to a full-time role, Monday to Friday during term time, starting in September 2025 and running for the full academic year.

About the Role:

  • Working closely on a 1:1 basis with a child who has a diagnosis of autism
  • Supporting the child with their learning, communication, and social development
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies and interventions
  • Providing consistent routines and emotional support to promote a positive and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a relevant UK qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
  • Have experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs
  • Have 6 months experience within UK schools
  • Be calm, patient, and resilient, with a nurturing approach
  • Show initiative and be able to adapt activities to suit the child’s individual needs
