CERT Solutions is recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a wonderful SEN/SEMH secondary school in the Sandwell area. The role is to start in September, with the potential to become a permanent position once on contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that truly values it’s students and staff.
As a SEN Teacher, you will be teaching a variety of subjects, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other learning challenges. The school has a fantastic team of educators and support staff, all working together to ensure that each pupil thrives in an environment suited to their needs.
Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher:
- Teach a variety of subjects to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other learning needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils.
- Provide in-class support and one-to-one interventions where necessary.
- Work closely with the SENCO and other teaching staff to implement learning plans.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
- Manage behaviour positively and create a calm, supportive classroom atmosphere.
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching pupils with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD, ADHD.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong references covering the last 2-3 years.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
