CERT Solutions are working with a wonderful two-form entry primary school in the heart of Handsworth who are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all pupils.

The school are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated SENCO to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role, initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

As SENCO, you will lead the provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive high-quality support and inclusive learning opportunities. You will work closely with staff, parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team to drive the school’s vision for inclusive education.

The school have recently opened a specialist SEN room and so the SENCO role is crucial to this provision bein managed successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate SEND provision across the school
  • Support teachers with strategies and interventions to meet the needs of SEND pupils
  • Maintain and update EHCPs, provision maps, and records in line with statutory requirements
  • Liaise with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • UK Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant classroom experience
  • National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Proven experience working with children with a range of SEND needs
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive education practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
