A fantastic school in Walsall is looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their passionate and dedicated team to help support their students

This role is to start in September and will be ongoing.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can flourish academically and emotionally.
  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised learning strategies.
  • Implement effective interventions and support plans tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage independence, self-esteem, and resilience in students through engaging activities.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to evaluate and adapt teaching approaches.
