CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting children and young people with SEN, including:
- Autism / ASD
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
You will need to be confident supporting pupils with their learning, communication, social development and personal care where required. Experience working within a specialist SEN school or similar setting would be highly desirable.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 child/care-related qualification, such as a relevant qualification in childcare, education, health or social care.
You must also have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, PMLD, SLCN or SLD
- A patient, caring and nurturing approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- The flexibility and reliability required to work in a school environment
