Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with complex needs?
A welcoming primary school in Aston is looking for a committed Resource Base Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional and complex needs, providing tailored support both within the resource base and across the wider school.
The Role
- Full-time, long-term position
- Supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
- Providing personal care and assistance with intimate care routines where required
- Supporting communication, learning, emotional regulation and independence
- Working closely with teachers, SENCO and other professionals
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Following individual education and care plans
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with children with SEND and complex needs
- Comfortable and confident providing personal care
- Patient, compassionate and resilient
- Able to build positive relationships with children
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role
- Passionate about helping children develop their confidence, independence and learning
Previous experience within a specialist provision, resource base, SEND school or primary setting is essential.
